The body of this djembé is hand-turned from mahogany wood and covered with goatskin using a multi-layered alpine nylon polyester string. On the belly of the drum there is a braided carrying handle and a reserve string. The wood is varnished for visual enhancement and protection against moisture, warping and dirt. The entire body of the djembé is decorated with elaborate carvings and dark painting. This makes each djembé unique. In the upper binding, the goat skin was placed over the tension rings and not shaved - the result is a decorative skin edge. In addition, the foot is set in a rubber hoop - this strengthens the stand and protects against moisture and wear. Made in Bali.
