The body of this djembé is hand-turned from mahogany wood and covered with goatskin using a multi-layered alpine nylon polyester string. On the belly of the drum there is a braided carrying handle and a reserve string. The wood is varnished for visual enhancement and protection against moisture, warping and dirt. Fine carvings are worked into the base by hand for decoration. This makes each djembé unique, made in Bali.
