This frame drum consists of a wooden frame covered with goatskin and synthetic string. The drum has a bass-heavy, voluminous sound and yet is light as a feather. The frame drum is played with a specially designed mallet (included). The larger the diameter of the drum, the more bass-heavy the playable tones become. The wooden frame is decorated with feathers and wooden beads in the style of the Indians. Jew's harps and shakers/rattles are suitable as accompanying instruments.
