Apart from drying and shaving, this goat skin is largely natural. The skin comes from lean female goats as this makes the skin softer, thinner and also less odorous. For stringing all types of djembés and drums. Please note when stringing: the line of the spine should run exactly in the middle of the playing surface to ensure a symmetrical division of the playing surface, whereby sound differences are evenly distributed due to the slightly thicker skin on the spine. When playing, the line of the spine should be directed as precisely as possible towards the player so that each hand plays on exactly one half.
