The body of this djembé is hand-turned from mahogany wood and covered with goatskin using a multi-layered alpine nylon polyester string. On the belly of the drum there is a braided carrying handle and a reserve string. The wood is varnished for visual enhancement and protection against moisture, warping and dirt. The base of this djembé is decorated with fine carvings. This makes each djembé unique. In addition, the foot is set in a rubber tire - this strengthens the stand and also protects against moisture and wear. Made in Bali.
